Tato norma uvádí metody pro stanovení deklarovaných a návrhových tepelných hodnot pro tepelně homogenní stavební materiály a výrobky, společně s postupy přepočtu hodnot získaných při jednom souboru podmínek na ty, které jsou platné pro jiný soubor podmínek. Tyto postupy jsou platné pro návrhové teploty prostředí mezi -30 °C a +60°C. Tato norma uvádí součinitele převodu pro teplotu a vlhkost. Tyto součinitele jsou platné pro střední teploty mezi 0°C a 30 °C. Tato norma také uvádí návrhové hodnoty ve formě tabulek pro tepelně stejnorodé materiály a výrobky běžně používané ve stavebních konstrukcích, pro jejich použití při výpočtech přenosu tepla a vlhkosti.
