Tato mezinárodní norma určuje konstrukční charakteristiky vlnovcových ohebných kovových hadic, které mohou být používány jako ochrana elektrických drátů a kabelů ve výbušném prostředí nebo v prostředí, kde je nebezpečí požáru. Tyto hadice mohou být používány jako statická ochrana nebo jako ochrana pro kabely nepravidelně příležitostně přemisťované nebo přemisťované méně než jedenkrát týdně. Tato norma rovněž poskytuje instrukce pro používání těchto hadic (viz příloha A) a přehled zkoušek požadovaných při typové zkoušce (viz příloha B)
