Tato evropská norma přejímá mezinárodní normu bez jakýchkoli modifikací a stanovuje postupy, které je třeba dodržovat při montáži ventilů na lahve na plyn. Platí zejména pro všechny kombinace ventilu a lahve spojované závity ISO, jak jsou předepsány v ISO 10920 a ISO 11363-1. Norma stanovuje běžné postupy kontroly a přípravy před montáží ventilů jak s kuželovými, tak s válcovými závity. Hodnoty krouticího momentu pro ocelové a hliníkové lahve na plyn včetně lahví z kompozitu s ocelovými nebo hliníkovými návarky jsou uvedeny v příloze A
