Tato norma stanoví tečení a přetrh při tečení v tahu u geotextilií a výrobků podobných geotextiliím, u kterých může v důsledku dlouhodobého konstantního zatěžování docházet ke změně tažnosti a tím ke vzniku nebezpečí zhroucení stavebního díla. Vzhledem k tomu, že tato zkouška je dlouhodobá a její postup složitý, nedoporučuje se pokládat ji za běžnou zkoušku pro kontrolu jakosti.
