Tato mezinárodní norma popisuje dvě metody pro stanovení 15 polycyklických aromatických uhlovodíků (PAU) v živočišných a rostlinných tucích a olejích. Obecná metoda a specifická metoda pro kokosový olej a rostlinné oleje s mastnými kyselinami s krátkým řetězcem. Tyto metody nejsou kvantitativní pro velmi těkavé sloučeniny jako naftalen, acenaften a fluoren. Vzhledem k interferencím způsobovaným samotnou matricí, nemůže být palmový olej a olivový olej z pokrutin analyzován pomocí této metody
