Tento dokument specifikuje principy pro tandemovou techniku a techniku podélné-podélné-příčné vlny (LLT - longitudinal-longitudinal-transverse wave) pro zjišťování diskontinuit kolmých k povrchu nebo téměř kolmých k povrchu.

Tandemovou techniku nebo techniku LLT lze použít ke zjišťování vnitřních rovinných diskontinuit .
