Norma popisuje zkušební metodu pro hodnocení odolnosti tekutých nátěrových hmot a podobných povlakových materiálů proti stékání, jestliže jsou nanášeny na podklad ve vertikální poloze. Nanášení může být provedeno použitím speciálního nanášecího pravítka na horizontálně umístěné zkušební vzorky, které jsou následně umístěny do vertikální polohy nebo použitím stříkací pistole pro nanášení na vzorky ve vertikální poloze.
