Tento dokument specifikuje metodu, při které se používá kyselina mravenčí ke stanovení hmotnostního procentuálního podílu polyamidových vláken, po odstranění nevlákenných látek, v textiliích vyrobených ze směsí - polyamidu s - bavlnou, viskózou, měďnatými vlákny, modalem, lyocelem, polyesterem, polypropylenem, chlorovlákny, akrylem, skleněnými vlákny, elastomultiesterem, elastolefinem a melaminem, nebo - vlnou (pokud obsah vlny je nižší nebo se rovná 25 %), nebo vlákny ze zvířecích srstí. Tento dokument neplatí v případě, kdy obsah vlny překročí 25 %; pak se použije ISO 1833-4
