Tato norma specifikuje metodu pro kvantitativní stanovení sumy polychlorovaných n-alkanů s krátkým řetězcem, označovaných také jako chlorované parafiny s krátkým řetězcem (SCCP), s délkou uhlíkového řetězce v rozsahu n-C10 až n-C13 včetně, ve směsích s hmotnostním zlomkem chloru mezi 50 % a 67 %, které zahrnují asi 6 000 z přibližně 8 000 kongenerů. Tato metoda je použitelná pro stanovení sumy SCCP v sedimentech a plaveninách, v kalech z čistíren odpadních vod a v půdách s použitím plynové chromatografie-hmotnostní spektrometrie s elektronovým záchytem po negativní chemické ionizaci (GC-ECNI-MS)
