Tento dokument určuje metodu pro stanovení obsahu vody v analytickém vzorku pro obecný rozbor sušením vzorku v sušárně. Tato metoda je vhodná pro použití pro analytické vzorky pro obecný rozbor podle CEN/TS 15414-1. Metoda je vhodná pro všechna tuhá alternativní paliva. Jestliže tuhá alternativní paliva obsahují velká množství olejových frakcí, je vhodné použít Karl-Fischerovu metodu (např. ISO 760). Jinak se doporučuje použít nižší teplotu (např. 50 °C ± 10 °C) a delší dobu sušení, dokud není dosaženo konstantní hmotnosti
