Tato norma specifikuje metodu stanovení rázové odolnosti trubek z termoplastů kruhového průřezu proti vnějším nárazům padajícího závaží, proto se metoda nazývá "po obvodu". Tato metoda je vhodná pro jednotlivé šarže trubek, zkoušené při teplotě 0 °C (jsou zde také uvedeny informace týkající se odběru vzorků při kontinuální výrobě trubek). Pokud je požadováno zkoušení při teplotě nižší než 0 °C, doporučuje se zkoušet při -20 °C
