Tato mezinárodní norma uvádí dvě metody měření tloušťky papíru a lepenky:
- a) měření jednotlivého archu papíru nebo lepenky jako tloušťky jednotlivého archu;
- b) měření vrstvy archů papíru jako střední tloušťky ve vrstvě.
Tato mezinárodní norma také uvádí metody výpočtu
