Tato mezinárodní norma specifikuje metodu vysokoúčinné kapalinové chromatografie pro stanovení obsahu vitaminu E (DL- -tokoferolu) v krmivech pro hospodářská a domácí zvířata. Zkušební podíl vzorku se saponifikuje ethanolovým roztokem hydroxidu draselného a vitamin E se extrahuje do petroletheru. Petrolether se odstraní odpařováním a zbytek se rozpustí v hexanu. Koncentrace vitaminu E v extraktu hexanu se stanoví kapalinovou chromatografií na normální fázi za podmínek, které oddělují DL tokoferol od ostatních tokoferolů
