Nelze ji použít pro stanovené materiály nebo výrobky, jako jsou segmenty z celých trubek nebo svarové spoje, pro které existují jiné normy. Na základě dosažených výsledků podle této normy lze určit mezní deformaci ohybem, kterou lze využít u reálných tvářecích procesů
