Tato mezinárodní norma určuje vlastnosti rýhovaných hřebů se zápustnou hlavou, se třemi rovnoměrně rozdělenými podélnými rýhami na vnějším povrchu k ulehčení montáže se jmenovitým průměrem d1 od 1,4 mm do 20 mm. Rozmístění materiálu jednotlivých rýh hřebu, které je omezeno průměrem rýhování d2, větším než jmenovitý průměr d1, umožní vytvořit tvarové spojení pokud je rýhovaný hřeb nalisován do vrtané díry jejíž průměr se rovná jmenovitému průměru d1 (viz kapitola 4)
