Tato mezinárodní norma definuje praktický stupeň požární prevence a ochrany určený pro poskytnutí dostatečného času uživatelům k úniku při požáru na malém plavidle.
Tato norma platí pro všechna malá plavidla o délce trupu (LH) až do 24 m kromě vodních skútrů.
Tato mezinárodní norma nezahrnuje:
- - konstrukci a instalaci trvale instalovaných kuchyňských sporáků a spotřebičů na topení (včetně komponent používaných k rozvodu tepla) spalujících kapalná paliva při atmosférickém tlaku, kterými se zabývá ISO 14895;
