V1.2.1 Tato norma platí pro aktivní zdravotnické implantáty velmi nízkého výkonu (ULP-AMI) a periferní zařízení (ULP AMI-P). Tyto typy rádiových zařízení jsou schopné provozu v kmitočtových pásmech 402 MHz až 405 MHz. Tato norma je určena k pokrytí ustanovení Směrnice 1999/5/EC (Směrnice R&TTE). Aktivní implantabilní zdravotnické prostředky (AIMD) jsou regulovány podle Směrnice AIMD 90/385/EEC; rádiové části v nich obsažené (zde uvedené jako ULP-AMI a ULP-AMI-P pro periferní zařízení) jsou regulovány podle Směrnice 1999/5/EC.
