Norma platí pro zařízení krátkého dosahu (SRD) v systémech telematiky v silniční dopravě a provozu (RTTT), popsaná v rozsahu platnosti EN 302 288-1 [4]:
- - s vestavěnou anténou;
- - pro radary se zvláště nízkým výkonem monitorující pohyb a vzdálenost, pouze pro mobilní aplikace;
- - pracující v kmitočtovém rozsahu 22 GHz až 26,625 GHz.
Normu lze používat pouze pro radar krátkého dosahu (SRR) 24 GHz pro silniční vozidla
