Tato norma je českou verzí mezinárodní normy ISO 11163:1995. Mezinárodní norma ISO 11163:1995 má status české technické normy. Specifikuje požadavky na sušenou bazalku (Ocimum basilicum L.) [český název je "bazalka pravá"] uváděnou do oběhu jako řezané (drhnuté) listy. Mezi normalizovanými požadavky je i napadení hmyzem, plísněmi apod., stanovení příměsí apod. Norma tedy stanovuje i některé kvalitativní znaky (jakosti) významné pro hygienu výživy, popř. metody jejich zjišťování (ověřování). ČSN ISO 11163 (58 0528) byla vydána v srpnu 1998
