Tato norma specifikuje metodu pro stanovení obsahu redukujících cukrů v tabáku. Princip metody je založen na reakci redukujících cukrů s hydrazidem kyseliny p-hydroxybenzoové v zásaditém prostředí. Vzniklý žlutě zabarvený osazon se měří v průtokové cele při 410 nm spektrofotometricky/kolorimetricky.
