upřesňuje terénní postupy, které by měly být přijaty pro určování a vyhodnocování přesnosti geodetických přístrojů a jejich příslušenství, při použití pro stavební a zeměměřická měření. V první řadě jsou tyto zkoušky míněny jako terénní kontrola vhodnosti určitých přístrojů pro daný úkol a také ke splnění nároků dalších norem. Nejsou navrhovány jako zkoušky pro akceptační nebo výkonnostní hodnocení. Tyto terénní postupy byly vyvinuty speciálně pro okamžité (in situ) použití bez potřeby speciálního příslušenství a jsou záměrně vytvořeny tak, aby minimalizovaly vlivy atmosféry.
