Tento dokument stanovuje kombinace hladin akustického tlaku a kmitočtů čistých nepřerušovaných tónů, které jsou posluchači vnímány jako stejně hlasité. Údaje jsou založeny na těchto podmínkách. a) zvukové pole je za nepřítomnosti posluchače tvořeno postupnou rovinnou vlnou; b) zdroj zvuku je přímo před posluchačem; c) zvukové signály jsou čisté tóny; d) hladina akustického tlaku se měří za nepřítomnosti posluchače v místě, kde by byl střed hlavy; e) poslech je binaurální; f) posluchači jsou otologicky normální osoby ve věku od 18 do 25 let včetně. Údaje jsou graficky znázorněny v příloze A a číselně uvedeny v příloze B pro vyvolené kmitočty v třetinooktávové řadě od 20 Hz do 12 500 Hz včetně, v souladu s ISO 266
