Norma stanoví požadavky na dekorativní elektrolyticky vyloučené povlaky nikl-chrom (s mezivrstvou mědi nebo bez ní) na plastech. Pro splnění požadavků na odolnost cyklickým změnám teploty lze použít mezivrstvu mědi nebo tažného niklu.

Norma neplatí pro tyto povlaky na plastech určené pro technické účely.
