Tento dokument specifikuje metodu stanovení prchavé hořlaviny hnědých uhlí a lignitů. Uhlí se zahřívá bez přístupu vzduchu po dobu 7 min při 400 °C a potom se ihned převede do druhé pícky a zahřívá při 900 °C po dalších 7 min. Hmotnostní zlomek prchavé hořlaviny se vypočte z úbytku hmotnosti vzorku vysušeného v sušárně nebo z úbytku hmotnosti analytického vzorku korigovaného na obsah vody
