Norma obsahuje ISO 5314:1981. Určuje titrační metodu po destilaci pro stanovení amonného dusíku v průmyslových hnojivech. Metoda je vhodná jen tehdy, pokud nejsou přítomny močovina a deriváty, kyanamid a organické dusíkaté sloučeniny. Normalizována je podstata zkoušky, a to takto: "destilace amoniaku z alkalického roztoku, absorpce do přebytku odměrného roztoku kyseliny sírové a zpětná titrace odměrným roztokem hydroxidu sodného za přítomnosti methylčerveně nebo směsného indikátoru methylčerveně". Postup normalizované zkoušky je podrobně popsán. ČSN ISO 5314 (65 4835) byla vydána v srpnu 1995. Nahradila ČSN 65 4835 z 26.8.1983
