Dieses Dokument legt technische und organisatorische Grundlagen für die Anwendung der open BIM-Methode im gesamten Lebenszyklus von Bauwerken aller Art sowie deren Ausrüstung fest. Die Bestimmungen dieses Dokuments schaffen die Voraussetzung für: ż die offene Zusammenarbeit sämtlicher im Zuge des Lebenszyklus Beteiligter, ż von der Idee über Planung und Ausführung sowie Bewirtschaftung bis hin zu Abbruch und Entsorgung, ż die technische Umsetzung eines produktneutralen Datenaustauschs und ż ein gemeinsames Datenmodell und die Datenhaltung von Informationen. Dieses Dokument schafft Grundlagen für einen umfassenden, einheitlichen, produktneutralen, systematisierten Austausch von grafischen Daten und den zugehörigen Sachdaten auf Basis von IFC (Industrial Foundation Classes) inklusive Erweiterungen gemäß ÖNORM EN ISO 12006-3.
