Dieses Dokument legt einen Rahmen für die Flächenbemessung im Facility Management fest, um sowohl die Informationsanforderungen über den gesamten Lebenszyklus als auch die in der Branche eingesetzten digitalen Technologien zu fördern. Darüber hinaus werden Begriffe und Definitionen eindeutig definiert sowie Verfahren zur Messung von horizontalen Grundflächen und Rauminhalten (Volumen) in Gebäuden und/oder Gebäudeteilen unabhängig von ihrer Funktion.
