Dieses Dokument legt ein Zugprüfverfahren zur Bewertung der Wirkung eines Hochdruck-Prüfgases auf die Werkstoffeigenschaften im Vergleich zu der eines Hochdruck-Inertgases fest. Es legt die geforderten Probekörpergeometrien und die Beschaffenheit der inneren Oberfläche von mit Hochdruckgas gefüllten Hohlprobekörpern aus metallischen Werkstoffen fest. Das Verfahren ist für das Screening und die Charakterisierung von metallischen Werkstoffen durch Beurteilung der durch verschiedene Prüfgase, Temperaturen oder Prüfdrücke bedingten Änderungen ihrer mechanischen Eigenschaften vorgesehen. Besondere Prüfbedingungen für Zugversuche unter Einwirkung von Hochdruck-Wasserstoffgas sind im normativen Anhang A angegeben.
