Dieses Dokument legt die allgemeinen Anforderungen an Wärme- und Feuchtigkeitsaustauscher (HME), Atemsystemfilter (ASF) und kombinierte Geräte (HMEF) fest, die für die Anwendung in der Anästhesie und Beatmung bestimmt sind. Es befasst sich mit Werkstoffen, Konstruktion, Leistung, Anforderungen an steril gelieferte Geräte, Kennzeichnung sowie den vom Hersteller bereitzustellenden Informationen. ANMERKUNG 1 Wo immer in diesem Dokument der Begriff żGerätż verwendet wird, ist damit ein HME oder, HMEF oder ASF gemeint. Dieses Dokument gilt auch für HME oder HMEF, die nicht über einen Maschinenanschluss zum Anschluss an ein Beatmungsgerät verfügen. Die Anforderungen an aktive HME sind in ISO 80601-2-74 [1] festgelegt. Dieses Dokument ist nicht anwendbar für andere Filtertypen: - Filter, die zum Schutz von Vakuumquellen oder Gasprobenleitungen bestimmt sind; - Filter zur Filterung von Druckgasen; - Filter zum Schutz von Prüfgeräten für physiologische Atemmessungen; - Filter am Einlass von Beatmungsbeuteln; ż Anschlüsse von Verneblern. ANMERKUNG 2 Ein Verfahren zur Beurteilung des Feuchtigkeitsverlusts bei einem HME/HMEF ist in ISO 9360-2:202X beschrieben. ANMERKUNG 3 Ein Verfahren zur Beurteilung der Filterleistung von ASF/HMEF ist in ISO 9360-3:202X beschrieben. Filter, die zur Filterung von Anästhesiegasen aus dem Atemgas verwendet werden, fallen nicht in den Anwendungsbereich dieses Dokuments. ANMERKUNG 4 Die Anforderungen an aktive HME sind in ISO 80601-2-74 [1] festgelegt.
