IEC 61158-3-12:2019 defines the services provided to the Type 12 fieldbus application layer at the boundary between the application and data-link layers of the fieldbus reference model and systems management at the boundary between the data-link layer and systems management of the fieldbus reference model. This fourth edition cancels and replaces the third edition published in 2014. It constitutes a technical revision. The main changes are: - Technical corrections in the communication services - Editorial improvements for clarification. L’IEC 61158-3-12:2019 fournit les elements communs pour les communications de messagerie de base a temps critique entre des appareils dans un environnement d’automation. Le terme "a temps critique" sert a representer la presence dune fenetre temporelle, dans les limites de laquelle une ou plusieurs actions specifiees sont tenues detre parachevees avec un certain niveau defini de certitude. Le manquement a parachever les actions specifiees dans les limites de la fenetre temporelle risque dentrainer la defaillance des applications qui demandent ces actions, avec le risque concomitant pour lequipement, linstallation et eventuellement pour la vie humaine. La presente Norme internationale definit de maniere abstraite le service visible de lexterieur fourni par la couche liaison de donnees de reseau de terrain type 12 en termes: a) des actions et evenements primitifs du service; b) des parametres associes a chaque action primitive et evenement primitif, et la forme quils prennent; c) de linterrelation entre ces actions et evenements, et leurs sequences valides.
