Es enthält eine Beschreibung, wie Informationen gesammelt, berechnet, ausgewertet und dokumentiert werden, um solide Geschäftsfälle auf der Grundlage von Kapitalwertberechnungen für ERI zu erstellen. Die Norm gilt für die Bewertung von energiebezogenen Investitionen jeglicher Art. Das Dokument befasst sich hauptsächlich mit der Bewertung und Dokumentation der wirtschaftlichen Auswirkungen von ERI. Es werden jedoch auch nichtwirtschaftliche Effekte (z. B.
