Die nachfolgenden Festlegungen werden zur Konkretisierung der Anforderungen der OVE-Richtlinie R 1000-3 und OVE EN IEC 61936-1 in Bezug auf den Brandschutz getroffen, um ein einheitliches Sicherheitsniveau des Brandschutzes bei Umspannstationen zu erreichen. Die in dieser OVE-Richtlinie R 12-1 angeführten technischen Vorgaben gelten für den Brandschutz im Brand-abschnitt, in dem sich der Transformator befindet. Sie ist bei allen Umspannstationen für Wechselstrom bei Bemessungsspannungen (Um) über 1 kV bis einschließlich 52 kV auf der Hochspannungsseite anzuwenden. Diese Richtlinie gilt nicht für Schaltanlagen, die brandschutztechnisch vom Traforaum getrennt sind. Von den Anforderungen dieser Richtlinie kann in Einzelfällen abgewichen werden, wenn nachgewiesen wird, dass das Schutzziel durch andere Maßnahmen gleichwertig erreicht wird.
