Dieses Dokument legt die elektrischen Anforderungen und Prüfungen für elektrisch isolierende Helme fest, die bei Arbeiten unter Spannung oder in der Nähe von aktiven Teilen in Anlagen mit einer Wechselspannung nicht über 17 000 V oder mit einer Gleichspannung nicht über 1 500 V einen elektrisch isolierenden Schutz für den Kopf des Arbeiters gegen elektrischen Schlag bereitstellen. Die nach diesem Dokument entworfenen und hergestellten Produkte tragen zur Sicherheit des Benutzers bei, sofern sie von Elektrofachkräften nach EN 50110-1:2023 und/oder nach nationalen Vorschriften benutzt werden. In diesem Dokument werden keine Lichtbogenüberschläge oder kein zusätzliches Helmzubehör wie Gesichtsschutz, Gehörschutz, Lampen und Spannungsprüfer behandelt und es sind keine mechanischen Anforderungen und Prüfungen enthalten.
