Diese Europäische Norm gilt, wie in der Richtlinie über Elektro- und Elektronik-Altgeräte (WEEE) in Anhang 4 angegeben, für die Behandlung von Photovoltaik-Modulen. Der Anwendungsbereich dieses Dokuments ist auf Photovoltaik-Module mit einer Mindestoberfläche von 0,2 m˛ beschränkt. Diese Europäische Norm gilt für die Behandlung von Photovoltaik-Modulen, bis deren Ende der Abfalleigenschaft erfüllt ist oder Fraktionen der Photovoltaik-Module der Wiederverwertung, Rückgewinnung oder der Entsorgung zugeführt werden. Diese Europäische Norm richtet sich an alle an der Behandlung einschließlich der damit verbundenen Handhabung, Sortierung und Lagerung der Photovoltaik-Module Beteiligten. Diese Europäische Norm gilt für alle Einrichtungen einschließlich derer, bei deren Abläufen mobile Behandlungsanlagen zur Anwendung kommen.
