Dieser Teil von IEC 60076 gilt für Trockentransformatoren (einschließlich Spartransformatoren) mit einer höchsten Spannung für Betriebsmittel bis einschließlich 72,5 kV und mindestens einer Wicklung, die mit mehr als 1,1 kV betrieben wird. Dieses Dokument gilt nicht für: - gasgefüllte Trockentransformatoren, bei denen das Gas nicht Luft ist; - Einphasentransformatoren mit Bemessungsleistungen unter 5 kVA; - Mehrphasentransformatoren mit Bemessungsleistungen unter 15 kVA; - Messwandler; - Anlasstransformatoren; - Prüftransformatoren; - Fahrzeugtransformatoren; - explosionsgeschützte und Bergbautransformatoren; - Schweißtransformatoren; - Stelltransformatoren; - kleine Leistungstransformatoren, bei denen Sicherheit im Vordergrund steht. Soweit für die zuvor genannten Transformatoren oder für andere Sondertransformatoren keine IEC-Normen bestehen, darf dieses Dokument ganz oder teilweise angewendet werden.
