Dieser Teil von IEC 60317 legt Anforderungen an lackisolierte Flachdrähte aus Aluminium, Klasse 180, mit einer Einfachbeschichtung fest, die auf Polyesterimidharz basiert, das modifiziert sein darf, sofern es die chemische Identität des ursprünglichen Harzes beibehält und allen festgelegten Anforderungen an den Draht entspricht. Der Bereich der Leiternennmaße nach dieser Norm beträgt: - Breite: mindestens 2,0 mm höchstens 16,0 mm; - Dicke: mindestens 0,80 mm höchstens 5,60 mm. In dieser Spezifikation werden die Drähte Grad 1 und Grad 2 behandelt; diese gelten für das gesamte Leiterspektrum. Die genormten Kombinationen aus Breite und Dicke sowie das festgelegte Breite/Dicke-Verhältnis sind in IEC 60317-0-9:2015 angegeben.
