Dieser Teil von IEC 60669 gilt für Schalter mit Zeitverzögerungseinrichtung (nachfolgend als Zeitschalter bezeichnet) mit einer Bemessungswechselspannung nicht über 440 V und einem Bemessungsstrom nicht über 63 A, die für die Verwendung im Haushalt und in ähnlichen ortsfesten elektrischen Installationen, entweder in Innenräumen oder im Freien, bestimmt sind und von Hand und/oder fernbedient betätigt werden. Die Bemessungssteuerspannung für den Steuerstromkreis beträgt höchstens 440 V Wechselspannung bzw. 220 V Gleichspannung.
