Dieses Dokument legt Sicherheits- und Leistungsanforderungen an SCHWEIßSTROMQUELLEN und PLASMASCHNEIDSYSTEME fest. Dieses Dokument ist nicht anwendbar für Schweißstromquellen zum Lichtbogenschweißen und Plasmaschneiden mit begrenzter Einschaltdauer, die vorwiegend für den Gebrauch durch Laien vorgesehen und nach IEC 60974-6 konstruiert sind. Dieses Dokument enthält Anforderungen an batteriebetriebene SCHWEIßSTROMQUELLEN und BATTERIEpacks, die in Anhang O angegeben sind. Dieses Dokument ist nicht anwendbar für das Prüfen von Stromquellen bei der regelmäßigen Instandhaltung oder nach Instandsetzung.
