Dieser Teil von IEC 62153 legt ein Verfahren zur Extrapolation der Messergebnisse des Kopplungswiderstands auf höhere Frequenzen sowie der Messergebnisse der Schirmdämpfung auf niedrigere Frequenzen bei Messungen mit der Triaxial-Prüfeinrichtung nach IEC 62153-4-3, IEC 62153-4-4 [1]1 und IEC 62153-4-15 fest. Dieses Verfahren ist anwendbar für homogene Schirme, d. h. für Schirme mit einem Kopplungswiderstand, der direkt proportional zur Länge ist. Der Kopplungswiderstand kann ein beliebiges Frequenzverhalten aufweisen, d. h. er könnte ein Verhalten zeigen, welches nicht mit 20 dB je Dekade ansteigt, wie es z. B. bei Schirmen aus einer Folie und einem Geflecht zu beobachten ist.
