Dieser Teil von IEC 62282 legt die Verfahren zur Beurteilung des typischen Leistungsverhaltens für Wasserstoff nutzende elektrische Energiespeichersysteme fest. Er ist auf Systeme anwendbar, die Einrichtungen für elektrochemische Reaktionen zum Laden und Entladen nutzen. Dieses Dokument ist anwendbar auf Systeme, die für den Einsatz und den Betrieb in stationären Anwendungen (Innenräume und im Freien) ausgelegt sind und an solchen verwendet werden. Die Konfigurationskonzepte der Wasserstoff nutzenden elektrischen Energiespeichersysteme sind in Bild 1 und Bild 2 dargestellt. Bild 1 zeigt das unabhängig voneinander mit einem Elektrolyseurmodul und einem Brennstoffzellenmodul ausgestattete System. Bild 2 zeigt das mit einem reversiblen Zellenmodul ausgestattete System. Unverzichtbare Komponenten sind ein Elektrolyseurmodul und ein Brennstoffzellenmodul oder ein reversibles Zellenmodul, ein allgemeines Managementsystem (das eine Datenschnittstelle umfasst und ein Druckmanagement einschließen kann), ein Wärmemanagementsystem (das einen Wärmespeicher umfassen kann), ein Wassermanagementsystem (das einen Wasserspeicher umfassen kann) und eine Spülgasversorgung (Inertgas, praktisch weder oxidierend noch reduzierend).
