OVE EN IEC 62305-3 Beiblatt 2 dient zur Auswahl der Mindest-Blitzschutzklasse und der Prüfintervalle für bauliche Anlagen, in Abhängigkeit der Gebäudeart und der Nutzungsart, wenn ein Blitzschutzsystem (LPS) ausgeführt wird. Das Beiblatt dient nicht als Entscheidungsgrundlage, ob ein Blitzschutzsystem erforderlich ist. Wenn die Errichtung eines Blitzschutzsystems gefordert wird, ist dieses in der Mindest-Blitzschutzklasse gemäß Tabelle 1 auszuführen, um das Restrisiko für Personen und bauliche Anlagen auf ein in Österreich allgemein akzeptiertes Mindestmaß zu reduzieren. ANMERKUNG Eine Risikoanalyse gemäß ÖVE/ÖNORM EN 62305-2 deckt neben dem hier behandelten Schutz von baulichen Anlagen und Personen auch weitere Risikokomponenten, wie zB wirtschaftliche Schäden, Ausfall von Dienstleistungen, kulturelle Werte, ab und kann somit aus diesen Gründen gegebenenfalls auch höhere Blitzschutzklassen liefern.
