Zweck der Bestimmung nach dieser ÖNORM ist die qualitative und/oder quantitative Bestimmung sowohl der Summe chemischer Verbindungen als auch ausgewählter Einzelsubstanzen in der Gasphase über den Proben mittels SPME mit gaschromatischer Trennung und massenselektiver Detektion (GC-MS). In dieser ÖNORM wird die Analyse flüchtiger Verbindungen aus Papier und Pappe, entsprechenden Halbstoffen vor und nach weiteren Verarbeitungsstufen sowie Verbundmaterialien - wie z.B. Holzstoffe, Zellstoffe, gestrichene Papiere, bedruckte und lackierte Papiere und Materialien auf Recycling-Basis - unter definierten Produktfeuchten bei thermisch definierten isochoren Bedingungen beschrieben.
