Diese ÖNORM legt ein Prüfverfahren für die Bewertung der Gesamtmigration aus Papieren und Pappen fest. Dieses Prüfverfahren wurde für Papiere und Pappen entwickelt, die für den Kontakt mit trockenen, nicht fettenden Lebensmitteln vorgesehen sind sowie für Papiere und Pappen für Backzwecke. In einzelnen Fällen kann das modifizierte Polyphenylenoxid (MPPO) auch als Ersatzprüflebensmittel für Fettkontakt angesehen werden. MPPO kann auch als Simulanz für Olivenöl genommen werden.
