Die in dieser ÖNORM beschriebene Prüfmethode bezieht sich auf die Prüfung der Echtheit von Drucken und Druckfarben gegenüber Lösemittel, die der Definition in dieser Norm entsprechen. Geprüft werden Drucke auf allen Bedruckstoffen nach allen Druckverfahren als auch Druckfarben in Form genormter Druckproben gemäß ÖNORM A 1200-1. Vom Anwendungsbereich ausgenommen ist die Prüfung der Lackierechtheit, da diese nur in einem praktischen Lackierversuch festgestellt werden kann.
