Diese ÖNORM ist für die Neu- und Umgestaltung von Kassenarbeitsplätzen unter Berücksichtigung der Bedingungen am Aufstellungsort anzuwenden. Tätigkeiten an Registrierkassen im Sinne von § 67 Abs. 5 Z 4 ASchG (Tastatur und optische Anzeige) fallen unter die Bestimmungen der BS-V. Der zweite Abschnitt der BS-V - u. a. Anforderungen an Bildschirm, Tastatur, Arbeitstisch, Arbeitsfläche, Arbeitsstuhl - kommt auf Grund von § 1 Abs. 1 BS-V jedoch nicht zur Anwendung.
