Diese ÖNORM legt nationale Festlegungen zu EN 1993-1- fest und ist für Österreich gemeinsam mit der ÖNORM EN 1993-1-1 anzuwenden. Diese ÖNORM enthält eine Anleitung für die Stahlsortenauswahl im Hinblick auf Bruchzähigkeit und Eigenschaften in Dickenrichtung, wenn bei der Fertigung von Schweißkonstruktionen auf die Gefahr von Terassenbruck zu achten ist. Kapitel 2 gilt für Stähle S235 bis S690. Kapitel 3 gilt für für Stähle S235 bis S460. Regelungen und Hinweise in den Kapiteln 2 und 3 gelten nur, wenn die Ausführung der Stahlkonstruktionen nach EN 1090 erfolgt.
