Die vorliegende ÖNORM enthält Anforderungen und Ausführungsbeispiele für Fassaden aus Holz und Holzwerkstoffen ab der Gebäudeklasse 4 (GK 4) unabhängig vom Material des dahinter liegenden Wandbildners. Die angeführten Ausführungsvarianten erfüllen die Kriterien der ÖNORM B 3800-5 und sind gemäß OIB-Richtlinie 2 "Brandschutz" in der GK 4 und GK 5 bis zu einem Fluchtniveau von 13 m einsetzbar. Diese ÖNORM gilt nicht für Gebäude der GK 1 bis GK 3 sowie Fassaden, die nicht aus Holz oder Holzwerkstoffen hergestellt sind.
