Diese ÖNORM ist für die Ermittlung der vollständigen Arbeitslinie und der Ableitung der Festigkeits- und Verformungskennwerte (Elastizitätsmodul, Querdehnungszahl, Verformungsmodul) unter kurzzeitiger einaxialer Druckbelastung von Festgesteinen anzuwenden. Der Anwendungsbereich umfasst die Bestimmung der genannten Eigenschaften bezüglich Charakterisierung und Klassifizierung von Gesteinen sowie der Ableitung deren Kennwerten für geotechnische Fragestellungen, insbesondere geostatische Berechnungsverfahren. Vom Anwendungsbereich dieser ÖNORM ausgenommen sind die in ÖNORM EN 1926 und ÖNORM EN 14580 enthaltenen Bestimmungen zur Druckfestigkeit und des Elastizitätsmoduls von Werksteinen aus Naturstein.
