Diese ÖNORM legt auf Grund der speziellen geografischen, topografischen und klimatischen Verhältnisse, die in Österreich herrschen, ausgewählte Anforderungen an natürliche und industriell hergestellte Gesteinskörnungen für Asphalt und Oberflächenbehandlungen für Straßen, Flugplätze und andere Verkehrsflächen entsprechend den Kategorien der ÖNORM EN 13043 fest. Diese ÖNORM ist gemeinsam mit der ÖNORM EN 13043 anzuwenden. Ausbauasphalt für die Verwendung in Heißmischgut wird in ÖNORM EN 13108-8 behandelt.
