Diese ÖNORM legt Anforderungen an aufbereitete hydraulisch wirksame Zusatzstoffe (kurz: AHWZ) fest, die mit der in dieser ÖNORM festgelegten Zusammensetzung und Feinheit als Zusatz für Beton gemäß ÖNORM B 4710-1 als Zusatzstoff Typ II verwendet werden. Diese ÖNORM gilt nicht für Bestandteile, die bei der Herstellung von Zementen nach ÖNORM EN 197-1 verwendet werden. Festlegungen für die Verwendung von aufbereiteten hydraulisch wirksamen Zusatzstoffen bei der Betonherstellung, z.B. Anforderungen an die Zusammensetzung, das Mischen, die Verarbeitung, die Nachbehandlung von Beton, sind nicht Gegenstand dieser ÖNORM. Für diesbezügliche Festlegungen wird auf ÖNORM B 4710-1 und sonstige nationale Betonvorschriften verwiesen. Die Neufassung dieser ÖNORM war durch die nationale Umsetzung der EN 15167 bzw. EN 450-1 erforderlich.
